CHC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 2 Endicott Takes On No. 1 Stevenson For The Cup At 4 PM Today

BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott women's ice hockey team is set to take on first-seeded Stevenson University in the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Tournament championship game today at 4 p.m. in Reisterstown, Maryland at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.

THE MATCHUP: Stevenson went 1-0-1 in the two-game regular season series against Endicott. The Mustangs picked up a 2-0 win in the first-ever meeting between the two programs on Friday, November 20, 2015, before both squads skated to a 0-0 (OT) tie on November 21. Both games were played in Beverly, Mass. at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

ENDICOTT (14-6-4 | ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATS): The Gulls advanced to the CHC Tournament title game with a 5-0 win over third-seeded Morrisville State in the semifinal round yesterday evening. Maggie Layo (Sandwich, Mass.) potted two goals and also dished out one assist to lead the Gulls offensively, while Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) stopped 21 shots to register her eighth shutout of the year and also improve to 12-5-4 on the season.

STEVENSON (22-3-1 | ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATS): The Mustangs enter today's matchup on an 11-game winning streak, as Stevenson has not lost a game since January 10, 2016 against Augsburg (L, 4-2). Yesterday, the Mustangs defeated fifth-seeded Becker, 5-3, in comeback fashion yesterday to advance to today's title game.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Today's matchup features the No. 1 (Stevenson) and No. 2 (Endicott) ranked teams in goals against average (GAA) this season at 1.30 and 1.32, respectively.
