COLONIAL HOCKEY CONFERENCE (CHC) WEEKLY RELEASE
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman goaltender Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) has been named the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Rookie of the Week by the league office for her efforts in games from December 4-5.
In a 0-1-1 week for the Gulls, Jonsson stopped 49 shots including a career-high 32 saves against Salve Regina in a 2-2 (OT) tie on Saturday.
Jonsson is currently 4-2-2 overall in goal this season for Endicott with 137 saves (.951 save percentage), an 0.83 goals against average (GAA), and five shutouts.
Endicott (6-2-2) returns to action on Monday, January 4 against Trinity at 4 p.m.
