Gordon Holds Off Endicott, 90-82

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team fell to Gordon College, 90-82, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Thursday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

After trailing Gordon 47-33 at halftime, Endicott mounted an immense comeback to bring the score within three points late in the fourth quarter (83-80, 3:13 remaining) via a banked three-pointer from Shannon Gilbert (Easton, Conn.).

The Fighting Scots broke free from the Gulls with a 7-2 run in the last 58 seconds of the game, however, closing out the contest by the final of 90-82.

Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) led the Gulls in scoring with 26 points, while Gilbert followed with 17 points.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 27-12 all-time against Gordon. The Gulls and Fighting Scots meet later this season on Saturday, February 1st at 1:00 PM at Gordon College. 
  • Gilbert's 17 points were a new season-high. Passing her season-high of 14 points which she posted on January 7 against Nichols.
  • Megan Foley (Malden, Mass.) posted her third highest-scoring game of the season with a whopping 33 points (9-21 FG, 12-14 FT) for the Fighting Scots.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-8, 3-2 CCC) travels to Curry College on Wednesday, January 15 at 5:30 PM. Gordon (8-5, 3-1 CCC) visits Roger Williams this Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 PM.
