Brittany Hutchinson, Emily Pratt Highlight Endicott’s CCC All-Conference Honorees

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott women's basketball program have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason accolades, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Junior guard Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) and head coach Brittany Hutchinson headlined the list as the duo claimed Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors, respectively. In addition to her Player of the Year honor, Pratt also garnered CCC All-Conference first team accolades. The postseason honors are career firsts for Pratt and Hutchinson.

Meanwhile, Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) and Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) rounded out the list of award winners for the Gulls with CCC All-Conference second team and third team honors (also career firsts).

EMILY PRATT | JR. | G | GARDNER, MASS.          

With the announcement of today's awards, Pratt is now the first student-athlete in women's basketball program history to receive Player of the Year accolades since Ceciley Chisholm '10 did so in 2009-10.

Pratt's MVP-caliber year includes the following averages: 17.4 points per game (40.7 FG%, 34.6 3PT%, 74.5 FT%), 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.32 steals, and 0.48 blocks. Pratt currently ranks first in the conference in points (436), second in field goals made (145), steals (58), and points per 40 minutes (21.1), third in free throws made (102) and points per game (17.4), and fifth in three-point field goals made (44) and three-point field goal percentage (34.6).

Historically speaking, Pratt's 436 points this season ranks ninth all-time in program history, while her 17.4 points per game is positioned fifth all-time. Pratt also ranks No. 12 on the all-time scoring list with 995 career points entering Thursday night's CCC Tournament semifinal matchup (opponent to be determined later).

BRITTANY HUTCHINSON | HEAD COACH

Under Hutchinson's guidance this season, Endicott earned the No. 1 seed headed into this week's CCC Tournament for the first time since 2007-08 behind a 17-8 overall record and a 13-3 conference mark.

Hutchinson, who is the all-time winningest coach in Endicott women's basketball program history (133-89 overall, .599), currently has the Gulls ranked first in the conference in blocks per game (6.0) and opponents' field goal percentage (32.6), second overall in field goal percentage (36.6), rebounds per game (41.4) and free throw percentage (70.9), and third in points per game (60.8), three-point field goal percentage (29.0), and points allowed per game (56.0).

Nationally, Endicott ranks sixth in blocked shots (151), seventh in blocked shots per game, and No. 10 in field goal percentage defense (31.9).

Endicott has never missed the playoffs under Hutchinson as the eight-year veteran has accumulated the following accolades during that time: one Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship (2014), six CCC Tournament semifinals appearances (counting this season), one CCC Championship appearance.

She also has coached two CCC Rookies of the Year, one CCC Player of the Year, 16 All-Conference student-athletes, two All-Region honorees, three 1,000-point scorers, 31 Academic All-Conference award winners, and one CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District first team selection.

KALEIGH PUTNAM | JR. | G | WALLINGFORD, CONN.

In 23 games played this season, Putnam is averaging 11.8 points per game (38.0 FG%, 33.3 3PT%, 85.5 FT%), 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks.

Putnam ranks first in the conference in free throw percentage, third in blocks (26), seventh in assists (67), No. 12 in field goal percentage and points per game, No. 15 in points (272), No. 16 in field goals made (92), and No. 17 in points per 40 minutes (14.6).

MIKAELA ROGERS | JR. | F | HAVERHILL, MASS.

Rogers is averaging 10.6 points per game (40.8 FG%, 60.0 FT%), 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 25 games played so far during the 2018-19 campaign.

Rogers currently ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage, sixth in field goals made (116) and offensive rebounds (53), seventh in total rebounds (164), eighth in rebounds per game, No. 10 in defensive rebounds (111), No. 12 in points per 40 minutes (15.8), and No. 18 in points (265) and points per game.

First-seeded Endicott (17-8, 13-3 CCC) will take on the winner of No. 5 Curry and No. 4 Roger Williams on Thursday, February 21 in the CCC Semifinals at a time to be determined later.
