BRISTOL, R.I. – The Endicott women's basketball team posted a 47-44 conference victory over Roger Williams on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 38-36 with 6:03 to play, Endicott closed out the contest on an 11-6 run to lock up the pivotal league win, maintain its position atop the league standings (16-7 overall, 12-2 CCC), and clinch a home conference tournament playoff game in the process.

Defense also played a major role down the stretch as the Gulls made six crucial stops (four defensive rebounds/two blocks) over the final six-plus minutes of action.

Highlighting that stretch was Catie Lipscomb (West Springfield, Mass.) who hauled in a physical defensive rebound on a potential go-ahead three-pointer with 10-seconds remaining. After being fouled immediately on the rebound, Lipscomb buried two pressure-packed free throws that proved to be the difference late in the matchup.

Overall, Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) finished with a team-high 12 points and eight rebounds. Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) also notched eight points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) compiled eight points.
