Women’s Basketball Turns Away Nichols, 77-46

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's basketball team handed Nichols College a 77-46 loss in conference action on Tuesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Endicott never trailed in the contest after starting the game on an 8-0 run; however, Nichols brought the game within one point on two separate occasions (18-17, 1st quarter | 20-19, 2nd quarter) before the Gulls used a 10-0 run to close out the first half and ultimately the game as well.

The Gulls featured four student-athletes in double-figures highlighted by Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) who poured in 15 points and collected 12 rebounds off the bench. Both figures for Rogers were game-highs in the contest.

Endicott also saw Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) and Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) both score 12 points, while Emma Tierney (Wolfeboro, N.H.) contributed 10 points.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls improved to 25-5 overall in the all-time series against Nichols.
  • Endicott held a 33-20 advantage in bench points.
  • The Gulls also outscored Nichols 24-6 in points off of turnovers and 34-20 in the paint.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (12-6, 8-1 CCC) travels to Curry College on Saturday, January 26 at 1 PM. Nichols (3-16, 1-9 CCC) visits Salve Regina this Saturday at 1 PM.
