WALTHAM, Mass.- The Endicott women's basketball team fell in overtime to host Brandeis University in non-conference action Saturday afternoon inside Red Auerbach Arena by a score of 71-59.
With the loss, the Gulls are now 5-4 overall while Brandeis improved to 6-4 on the season.
The first quarter saw the Judges go up 17-7 after the first ten minutes and extended it to a 15-point advantage at the 4:38 mark of the second quarter, but Endicott stormed back to outscore Brandeis, 19-16, in the second as the Gulls trailed only 33-26 at the half.
Endicott came out of the break and rallied to produce a 42-38 lead at the end of the third quarter before both teams finished regulation tied at 53-all.
A strong overtime period propelled the Judges past the Gulls as Brandeis outscored the visitors 18-6 in the final five minutes of extra time.
Senior guard Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) powered the Gulls with a career-high 24 points to go with nine rebounds, eight steals and three blocks.

- Cuddy has recorded double-digit points in every game this season to stretch her double-digit scoring streak to nine games.
- Cuddy's eight steals were the third time in her career she has recorded at least eight in a single game, one shy of tying her shared record of nine from earlier this season.

- The Gulls' held a six-point lead with 59 seconds remaining in the third quarter for their largest lead of the game.
- Junior forward Sarah Hood (Burlington, Mass.) pulled down career-high 10 rebounds, but the Gulls lost the rebound battle, 50-44.

- Junior forward Maria Jackson (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Judges.
- Every student-athlete in Brandeis' lineup registered points today.
- The Judges converted 22-of-32 free throws.

NOTES
- Endicott is 0-6 all-time and 0-4 on the road at Brandeis dating back to 2006, though today was the first overtime meeting between the two teams.
- The Judges won 79-56 in Beverly, Mass. in the most recent meeting before today on Jan. 3, 2015.
