2014-15 All-CCC Women's Basketball Teams

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) named the women's basketball All-CCC teams for the 2014-15 season announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye this morning. The Gulls saw freshman Hannah Shaw (Foxboro, Mass.) take home the Rookie of the Year honor while junior Kelsey Cuddy (Madison, Conn.) earned a spot on All-CCC First Team.

The Blue and Green finished the regular season at 11-14 (7-11 CCC) as they head into the postseason tonight as the #7 seed in the CCC Tournament. The Gulls will travel to #2 Roger Williams for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.

Junior tri-captain, Cuddy has earned her second conference honor of her career after claiming a Third Team nod in 2013-14 season. The junior is the team leader in points per game (13.5) while playing solid defense, averaging 3.5 stl/g and 1.9 blk/g. Cuddy is currently on the national stat sheet sitting at 12th in the nation with her steals average while owning the leader board in steals for the CCC. Thus far this season the guard has compiled a total of 338 points, 88 steals and 47 blocks heading into the postseason.

Shaw becomes the first ever Rookie of the Year in program history. The Bar Harbor, Maine native played an integral role this season coming off the bench for most of the year before earning her first start on January 31st. Shaw is the current CCC leader in FG% (51.5) while boasting an impressive 9.8 ppg, 1.9 stl/g and .3 blk/g. Shaw recorded four double-double games this season while tying the programs single game scoring record with her 31 point effort on February 11th. Thus far this season the Rookie of the Year has totaled 245 points, 155 boards, 103 field goals and 47 steals.

Endicott will look to these two Gulls along with their teammates as they travel to Roger Williams tonight for the quarterfinals. Last season the Hawks ousted the Blue and Green from the tournament in the semifinals.
