SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released their weekly awards on Monday morning and freshman Hannah Shaw (Bar Harbor, Maine) of the women's basketball team tabbed her first Rookie of the Week nod. This marks the second Rookie of the Week honor the women's basketball team has received this season as freshman Sam Charette (Wenham, Mass.) also tabbed the weekly award back on December 14th.
Last week the Gulls earned a 59-53 victory in their lone game as they hosted CCC opponent Wentworth last Tuesday. In the triumph Shaw posted an impressive game recording her second double-double on the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding two steals in just 18 minutes of play. The rookie, forward, nailed 4-of-6 from the field and earned 3-of-6 from the charity stripe to help give the Gulls an edge coming in off the bench.
Endicott will take the court next on Thursday, January 29th as they host University of New England for a CCC tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
