Gulls Own Boards; Win Sixth Straight

WESTON, MA - Endicott College pulled down 22 offensive rebounds in winning its sixth straight game, 63-38, over Regis College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.

Senior forward Sarah Voigt (Kingston, NH/Sanborn Regional) grabbed six offensive rebounds - nine total - in helping the Gulls move to 11-6 overall and 8-1 in the CCC, while Regis fell to 7-10 overall and 4-7 in the CCC. Endicott owned the glass, pulling down 55 rebounds to the Pride's 25 and shot 41 percent from the floor to Regis' 25 percent shooting.

Freshmen Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) and Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, NH/Central Catholic) put home 10 points apiece to lead Endicott. Duchesne also dished out five assists while Janelle had four rebounds. Senior guard Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY/St. Francis Prep) added nine points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists while freshman forward Nicole Young (Rockland, MA/Cardinal Spellman) dropped in eight points to accompany five rebounds and a block.

The Gulls also got solid minutes out of junior guard Kate Harte (Warner, NH/Kearsarge Regional), who scored eight points and handed out three assists while sophomore guard Aubrey Drugan (Salem, NH/Bishop Guertin) added five points, three steals and three rebounds.

Endicott will return to action for a rivalry game at Gordon College Tuesday evening (6).
