The 2016-17 academic year marked the 15th year in which Mark Kulakowski served the athletic department. Kulakowski is the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Recreation. He handles all aspects of facilities, contest management, recreation, ROTC and is the advisor to men's and women's crew and men's and women's rugby. He also serves as an assistant to the softball program working with the infielders on the Endicott softball team.

In his 14 spring seasons with the softball program, Kulakowski has helped head coach Mark Veilleux win 10 conference championships. The softball team has captured the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship ten times, as well as has made ten trips to the NCAA Tournament (losing in the regional finals in 2014) and in 2012, the team captured the ECAC Championship.

In the past, Kulakowski served as the Gulls’ Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line coach while helping Head Coach JB Wells get the program up and running in 2002. During his tenure he offered his coaching expertise to the running backs, special teams, and defensive line.

A graduate and four-year athlete at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, Kulakowski was the captain and Most Valuable Player of the Corsairs’ football team in 2001. Kulakowski holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from UMass Dartmouth. He also has his Master’s degree in Education from Endicott in 2005.

Kulakowski has also been the head softball coach of the Bay State Northeast Summer Team in the past. They placed first, second, or third every year he coached in the games. In 2007 and 2008, Kulakowski served as the MIAA North Sectional Softball Tournament Director. He is currently part owner of Diamond One Softball, which offers camps and clinics to high school aged athletes.

He currently resides in Danvers with his wife Katy and his son, Macklin, and daughter, Maggie.
