Six Gulls Selected To NFCA All-Region Team

NFCA ALL-REGION TEAMS

BEVERLY, Mass. — Six members of the Endicott softball team have received National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region honors.

Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) and Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) were named to the Region II First Team, while Katie Watts (Swampscott, Mass.) was chosen to the Second Team.

Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.), Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.), and Keelin Spencer (San Jose, Calif.) rounded out the group with selections to the Third Team.

All six honorees are now eligible for NFCA All-America honors, which will be announced on May 24.

As a program, the Gulls have earned 68 All-Region honors, including 59 from the NFCA, since 2002.


YEAR IN REVIEW

The Gulls finished the year 32-13 overall and 15-3 in CCC play. 

Endicott captured its third straight CCC Championship with a sweep over Western New England, 6-5 and 11-3 (6 inn.), on May 7. 

In the NCAA Tournament, the Gulls advanced to the regional championship round for the first time since 2014 before falling to No. 4 nationally ranked and potential College World Series champion Salisbury University.

The NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches.
