Seven Softball Student-Athletes Earn All-CCC Honors

2019 CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team saw seven members earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference awards, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. Jamie Hopgood (Warwick, R.I.), Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.), and Gina DeMilt (Princeton, N.J.) were all named to the First Team, Laura Somerville (Suffield, Conn.) and Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.) were selected to the Second Team, and Maggie Oram (Lexington, Mass.) and Peyton Atkins (Goshen, N.Y.) earned Third Team honors. 

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM

Jamie Hopgood | Sr. | 1B | Warwick, R.I.

Hopgood has seen action in all 34 games this season so far. She has a .324 average with 35 hits, 10 doubles, seven home runs, and 34 RBI. In CCC games only, she ranks first in home runs (3) and second in RBI (18). This is Hopgood's second All-CCC selection as she was named to the Second Team in 2018. 

Adrianna Favreau | So. | 2B | Tewksbury, Mass. 

Favreau appeared in all 32 games so far this year. Overall, she has compiled a .363 average with 33 hits, four doubles, five triples, three home runs, and 27 RBI. In conference-only games, she is third in triples (2) and fourth in RBI (16) and stolen bases (5). This is Favreau's second career All-CCC Team honor as she was named to the Second Team in 2018 and was also the 2018 CCC Rookie of the Year. 

Gina DeMilt | Sr. | OF | Princeton, N.J. 

DeMilt has had an impressive senior campaign as she has an overall batting average of .440 in 32 games played. She has also recorded 51 hits, 11 doubles, four triples, one home run, 25 RBI, and four stolen bases. In CCC play only, she ranks second in batting average (.467) and slugging percentage (.683), and third in RBI (17). This is DeMilt's second career All-CCC First Team selection.  

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

Laura Somerville | Sr. | P | Suffield, Conn. 

In 12 appearances this season, Somerville has an overall record of 8-1 and a 6-0 record in CCC play. Somerville has also registered one save throughout the year. In conference only, she has a league-best ERA of 0.91 and is 13th in strikeouts with 19. This is Somerville's first career All-CCC honor. 

Lauren Misiaszek | Fr. | SS | Londonderry, N.H. 

Misiaszek has appeared in all 32 games for the Gulls this season. Overall, she has compiled a .364 batting average, 36 hits, nine doubles, one triple, six stolen bases, and 32 RBI. In CCC play only, she ranks first in RBI (19) and 11th in batting average (.362). This is Misiaszek's first All-CCC selection. 

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM

Maggie Oram | Jr. | P | Lexington, Mass. 

Oram has an overall record of 12-1 with three saves and nine complete games so far this season in 18 appearances. She has an overall ERA of 2.09 with 76 strikeouts in 87 innings pitched. In the conference-only play, she ranks seventh in ERA (1.88) and eighth in strikeouts (33). This is Oram's second All-CCC honor as she was named to the Third Team in 2018.   

Peyton Atkins | Jr. | C | Goshen, N.Y.

Atkins has appeared in 27 games so far this season for the Gulls. She has compiled an overall batting average of .342 with 25 hits, four doubles, one triple, two home runs, 16 RBI, and two stolen bases. In CCC games only, she is tied for third in home runs (2), is fifth in RBI (15), and sixth in batting average (.395). This is Atkins' first All-CCC selection in her career. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (28-4, 16-0 CCC) earned the first seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament and will play on Thursday, May 2 at 4 PM with the opponent to be determined.
