BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior Gina DeMilt (Princeton, N.J.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Softball Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league earlier today.
Last week, DeMilt led the Gulls to a 4-0 weekly record away from Beverly that secured the CCC Regular-Season Championship with a perfect 16-0 record. In a doubleheader sweep of Nichols, DeMilt collected five hits with two doubles, a triple, two RBI, and five runs scored.
She added three hits with a double and three runs scored in Endicott's sweep of Babson, currently ranked seventh in New England, two slots above the Gulls.
For the week, DeMilt batted .533 (8-for-15), while slugging .867 and posting a .563 on-base percentage.
This is DeMilt's first career CCC Player of the Week award.
WHAT'S NEXT
First-seeded Endicott will play the winner fifth-seeded Roger Williams and fourth-seeded Salve Regina in the opening round of the CCC Tournament on Thursday, May at home at 2 PM.
