BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott softball senior student-athlete Laura Somerville (Suffield, Conn.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Somerville got the ball for just one start for the Gulls last week, but it was impressive. She tossed seven shutout innings in a key early-season win at CCC rival Salve Regina. Somerville scattered five singles, walked none and struck out a pair as Endicott claimed a 4-0 victory to seal a doubleheader sweep of the host Seahawks.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (9-3, 2-0 CCC) is scheduled to host crosstown rival Gordon College in conference action on Monday, April 2 at 3 PM.
