CCC TOURNAMENT: Endicott Set To Host Final Rounds Of CCC Softball Tournament

CCC TOURNAMENT BRACKET / RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 1 seeded Endicott softball team will host several of the remaining games in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament this weekend, May 4 and 5. Endicott will host a pair of games on Friday, while Gordon College will also host two games. The remaining contests, including the Championship game, will be held at the Endicott Softball Complex on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. 

SCOUTING ENDICOTT (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): The Gulls enter the weekend with an overall record of 29-4 and finished CCC regular season play with a mark of 16-2 to earn the No. 1 seed. Endicott is led offensively by CCC Rookie of the Year, Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.). She leads the CCC in batting average with .465 and also has tallied 46 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 25 RBI. Jamie Hopgood (Warwick, R.I.) also compiled several impressive stats with a .411 batting average, .472 on-base percentage, 44 hits, 16 doubles (tied for 1st in CCC), three home runs, and 30 RBI. 

Sophomore pitcher Maggie Oram (Lexington, Mass.) was named to the All-CCC Third Team and has an 11-1 record in 16 appearances for the Gulls. She has pitched 81.2 innings with 73 strikeouts and a 2.66 ERA.

SCOUTING WESTERN NEW ENGLAND (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): The Gulls and the Golden Bears faced off on Saturday, April 21 and Endicott registered a doubleheader victory (2-0, 4-2). Western New England enters the weekend with an overall record of 22-16 and defeated Eastern Nazarene, 2-1, during the opening round of the CCC tournament on April 28.

SCOUTING EASTERN NAZARENE (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): Endicott and Eastern Nazarene last met on Saturday, April 14 and the Gulls split the doubleheader. The Lions posted a 5-2 victory in game one before the Gulls came back with a 6-4 win in game two. Eastern Nazarene enters the weekend with an overall record of 26-11 and lost to Western New England, 2-1, in the opening round of the tournament on April 28. 

SCOUTING SALVE REGINA (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): The Gulls and the Seahawks previously met this season on Sunday, April 22 and Endicott came away with a doubleheader sweep. The Gulls won the first game, 7-4, and the second, 3-2 (8 innings). Salve Regina enters the weekend with an overall record of 17-20 and lost to Gordon, 4-1, in the opening round of the CCC tournament on Saturday, April 28.

SCOUTING GORDON (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): Gordon and Endicott met in the first rounds of CCC tournament play on Saturday, April 28 and the Gulls came away with a 10-1 victory. Gordon enters the weekend with a 12-22 overall record.

SCOUTING NICHOLS (SCHEDULE | ROSTER | STATS): The Gulls and the Bison last met on Wednesday, April 18 and Endicott registered a doubleheader win (4-2, 5-0). Nichols opened CCC tournament play with a 3-1 victory over Curry and a 3-1 loss to Western New England on Wednesday, April 28. The Bison have an overall record of 15-18-1 heading into the weekend.
