Hopgood Earns Louisville Slugger/NFCA DIII National Player Of The Week Honorable Mention Accolades

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior first baseman Jamie Hopgood (Warwick, R.I.) has claimed Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III National Player of the Week honorable mention accolades. It was announced by the organization earlier today.

In eight games played from March 12-18, Hopgood guided Endicott to a 6-2 overall record behind a .577/.633/1.154 slash line (.avg/.obp/.slg) in addition to 15 hits, nine runs, six doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI.

Hopgood also hit .688 with runners on base (11-for-16), .727 with runners in scoring position (8-for-11), and .667 with two outs (4-for-6). She also advanced runners successfully at a .765 clip (13-for-17) and knocked in five runs with two outs in an inning.

For her efforts, Hopgood collected Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career on Monday, March 19.

Meanwhile, on the season, Hopgood is hitting .576/.605/1.061 alongside 19 hits (seven doubles, three homers), 11 runs scored, 17 RBI, four walks, and just two strikeouts in 33 at-bats.

Endicott (8-2) is scheduled to play Gordon College on the road at 3/5 PM on Wednesday, March 28.
