Endicott’s Offense Erupts In 15-7 Win Over Smith 

MINNEOLA, Fla. — The Endicott softball team scored 15 runs on 17 hits to defeat Smith College, 15-7, in five innings on Monday evening at the Minneola Athletic Complex.

Endicott scored runs in every inning - with a high of four in the third frame - while every student-athlete in the starting lineup notched at least one hit.

Gina DeMilt (Princeton, N.J.), Peyton Atkins (Goshen, N.Y.), Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.), and Olivia Odermatt (Cheshire, Conn.) highlighted the victory as everyone in the group drove in multiple runs for the Gulls. Hayley Arduini (Southington, Conn.) also launched her 10th career homer in the third inning.

Meanwhile, in the circle, Maggie Oram (Lexington, Mass.) picked up the win (2-0) in relief on 2 1/3 innings pitched, four hits, three runs (all earned), and two walks.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 3-1 all-time against Smith dating back to 2007.
  • Eight of the nine starters scored a run in the win.
  • Endicott's 15 runs are the most scored this season.

Endicott (4-0) takes on Ripon (2 PM) and Transylvania (4:30 PM) in Clermont, Florida at the Hancock Park Complex.
