Kissimmee, FL-- The Gulls continued their winning ways improving to 6-0 on the season, with a 4-0 win over Bridgewater State College. The game was a rematch from last season's NCAA Regional Tournament.
The Gulls started it off in the second with a Megan Huckins single. Katie Doherty followed with a single and Laura Schack then singled in Huckins for the RBI. Doherty then dashed home on an error by the catcher and Schack scored on a fielder's choice by Missy Swymer.
The Gulls continued on the offensive in the third when Ashley Labella singled and Megan Young sacrificed her to second. Huckins then smacked an RBI single to right scoring Labella.
This proved to be all the Gulls would need as Robyn Savitske dominated on the mound. Savitske improved her record to 4-0 in as many games. She gave up 7 hits, had two walks and 5 strikeouts in route to the shutout. Savitske has not allowed a run in her four wins.
Also playing well for the Gulls offensively were Labella who was 2-4 with a run scored and Megan Huckins who was 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
