Game 1

Endicott finished its regular season in style today defeating the Bison of Nichols College twice. In beating Nichols twice they clinched the regular season CCC title and will be the \#1 seed in next weeks upcoming tournament.

Game One of the doubleheader saw lots of scoring. The scoring started in the second inning with a Laura Mangini walk. Nicole Reather then singled and Katie Doherty reached on a fielder's choice. Ashley Labella chimed in with a single of her own driving in Reather for the first run of the game. A Jennilee Danielson single, allowed both Doherty and Labella to score to put the Gulls up 3-0. Megan Young then walked and then Elyse Colby drove home the 4th and 5th runs of the game.

In the 3rd inning, more of the same as the Gulls scored two more on hits by Labella and Danielson. Doherty started the rally with a 2 out walk and then Labella singled again and Danielson then doubled them both home.

In the 4th, Kirstin Wing reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Kim Arel then singled her home. Reather and Doherty then hit back to back singles and later in the game Danielson would gain another RBI by smacking a single to leftfield. With the bases loaded, Young drew a walk and when the dust had finally cleared after 5 innings, the Gulls had posted 11 runs on 12 hits and 0 errors.

On the mound, Robyn Savitske pitched a near perfect game allowing 16 batters out of a possible 15 to step to the plate. Savitske gave up no runs, no hits and struck out 6 in route to the win. Her record now stands at 11-3.

Offensively, Danielson led the Gulls going 3-3 with 1 run scored and 5 RBI. Labella also did well going 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
