Game 1
The Gulls pulled out a close victory over Anna Maria in game 1 of today's doubleheader. Robyn Savitske pitched a no-hitter in the win improving to 8-3. Savitske was in control the whole game walking none and striking out 8.
The scoring occurred in the 3rd inning, when Laura Schack started out the inning with a single. Ashley Labella then sacrificed her to second base. Megan Young then walked and with runners on the corners, Elyse Colby hit an RBI single to score Schack.
This run proved to be enough for the Gulls as they played strong defense behind Savitske. Nicole Reather, Young and Colby all played well in the field to preserve the win.
The win improved the Gulls to 19-7-1 overall and 14-1 in the CCC.
