Game 1 The Gulls took their undefeated (4-0) Commonwealth Coast Conference Record onto the field today and pulled out two more victories, upping their overall record to 9-5 (6-0 CCC).

The first game was once again led by strong pitching, great defense and timely hitting. Robyn Savitske pitched a shutout, allowing only 6 hits and 2 walks to go along with 5 strikeouts. Savitske improved her record to 4-2.

The scoring for the Gulls started in the 3rd inning, when Ashley Labella reached on a throwing error by Regis. Laura Schack sacrificed Labella to second, and a Jennielee Danielson single moved her to third. Two batters later, Megan Young drove home Danielson with an RBI single.

In the 5th, the inning started with a Danielson walk. Megan Huckins then reached on an error which landed Danielson on third base. Young then stepped to the plate and hit a rocket to centerfield that ricocheted off the centerfielder's glove scoring both Danielson and Huckins. With Young at second base, Katie Doherty hit an RBI single to improve the Gulls lead to 4-0.

In the 6th inning, the Gulls would do the last of their damage scoring one last run on a Danielson RBI double. The double scored pinch runner Kacy Beloin.

On offense, Danielson was 2-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Also contributing was Young, who was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The defense was led by 3B Doherty and C Young.
