NATIONALS: No. 11 Roller Hockey’s Run Ends In Sweet Sixteen Round

FARGO, N.D. — The No. 11 nationally ranked Endicott club men’s roller hockey team saw its nationals run come to a close in the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCRHA Championships, as the Gulls fell to No. 4 nationally ranked Kansas State, 5-4, on Saturday. 

Endicott went 2-2 overall at nationals as the Gulls picked up a pair of 6-2 victories over Oswego and Sam Houston State before falling to Akron, 3-2, in overtime prior to their game against No. 4 Kansas State.

In just two years as a program, Endicott has established itself among the nation’s best as the Gulls have advanced to nationals in both seasons, highlighted by this year’s Sweet Sixteen run.

TOURNAMENT LEADERS/HIGHLIGHTS

  • Corey Eisenband (Larchmont, N.Y.) tallied team-highs in goals (7), assists (6) and points (13).
  • Matt Kaski (Sandwich, Mass.) notched three goals and five assists.
  • Brian Harder (Delmar, N.Y.) and Jacob Webster (Westbrook, Maine) also scored three goals apiece.
  • Matthew Klarnet (Briarcliff, N.Y.) stopped 87 shots in four games.
