Men’s Cross Country Cruises To “Battle Of The North Shore” Victory

WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country took four out of the top-5 spots to win the "Battle of the North Shore" on Thursday evening at Gordon College.

Endicott scored 20 points, while Gordon came in second (35) and Salve Regina (85) finished third.

Matt Morneau (Lowell, Mass.) broke the tape in 16:22.4 on the 5-kilometer course to highlight the Gulls.

Connor Coffin (Scarborough, Maine), Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine), Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.), and Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.) placed second (16:28.3), fourth (16:28.8), fifth (16:35.2), and eighth (17:27), respectively, to round out Endicott's top-5.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Gulls are 5-0 in the "Battle of the North Shore" versus Gordon.
  • Endicott has had the top finisher in three out of the five "Battle of the North Shore" meets.

Endicott travels to Biddeford, Maine to compete in the University of New England (UNE) Invitational on Saturday, September 10 at 11:30 AM.
