Men’s Cross Country Competes At Keene State Invitational

KEENE, N.H. – The Endicott men's cross country team placed 13th overall out of 15 teams at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Williams won the meet with a team score of 54 points, while Brandeis (83), UMass Dartmouth (88), Westfield State (117), and Middleburg (155) rounded out the top-5.

Meanwhile, for the Gulls (323), Adam Germaine (Guilford, Conn.) guided the squad with a 63rd place finish in 28:25.6 on the fast-paced 8-kilometer course. 

Jack McGuire (Hopkinton, Mass.) followed in 70th place (28:36.0), while Will Connelly (Barrington, R.I.) ranked 71st (28:37.7), and Zachary Heffernan (Biddeford, Maine) came through the finish line in 80th place (29:02.9).

Marcus Poccia (West Greenwich, R.I.) concluded Endicott's top-5 with a time of 29:35.0 (103rd overall).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Germaine, McGuire, Heffernan, John Rycroft (Woburn, Mass.), Sean Stoeppel (Brookfield, Conn.), and Declan Keenan (Durham, Conn.) all registered personal records.
  • Rycroft ran a time of 32:33.1 (155th), while Stoeppel checked in at 32:34.2 (156th), and Keenan clocked in at 32:57.8 (160th).
  • The gap between Endicott's top-5 was 1:09.54.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, October 19 at the Suffolk University Invitational, hosted at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts, at 3:30 PM.
