Men’s Cross Country Takes Seventh Place At Suffolk University Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team posted a seventh place finish out of 19 teams at the Suffolk University Invitational on Friday evening at Franklin Park.  

Tiffin was able to take the top spot with a score of 40 points, while second place was secured by Wentworth Institute of Technology (71). Host Suffolk then checked in at third place (82), Emmanuel took fourth place (133), and, finally, Nichols rounded out the top-5 (134).  

For Endicott, Junior Joshua Knight (Oxted, England) led the Gulls with an 18th place finish, completing the eight-kilometer course in 28:47. Not far behind was Marcus Poccia (West Greenwich, R.I.) who was the number two runner for the Gulls in 20th place (28:52).

The third individual across the finish line for Endicott was Adam Germaine (Guilford, Conn.) who ran 29:15 to take 29th place.  Jack McGuire (Hopkinton, Mass.) was next at 29:24 for 34th, and, finally, Zachary Heffernan (Biddeford, Maine) rounded out the top-five in 60th with a time of 31:15.

  • Endicott had four runners (Knight, Poccia, Germaine, and McGuire) within the top-50 out of 152 total runners.

Endicott enjoys a week off from competition prior to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships, which take place in Wenham, Mass. on Saturday, October 27at 12 PM.
