Men's Cross Country Places 11th At Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott men's cross country team posted an 11th place finish out of 19 teams at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  

Host Bowdoin took top honors with 38 points, while Connecticut College finished second (68 points), Bates ended up in third (72 points), Colby placed fourth (93 points), and Southern Maine rounded out the top-five (124 points). 

For the Gulls, Will Connelly (Barrington, R.I.) covered the 8-kilometer course in 28:40.2 for a 90th place finish. Connelly was followed by Marcus Poccia (West Greenwich, R.I.) who finished in 99th place (28:52.1).  

Adam Germaine (Guilford, Conn.) was not far behind Connelly and Poccia in 104th place (29:09.7), while Jack McGuire (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Tyler Thornton (Reading, Mass.) ranked 133rd and 138th overall with times of 30:21.5 and 30:35.2, respectively.

The Gulls will have a week off before they travel to Boston, Mass. for the Suffolk University Invitational on Friday October 12 at 4:45 PM.
