Men’s Cross Country Finishes 27th At NCAA DIII Regionals

GORHAM, Maine – The Endicott men's cross country team wrapped up its 2017 season with a 27th place finish out of 55 teams at the NCAA DIII Regionals on Saturday evening in cold and windy conditions. 

MIT (81) edged out Amherst (91) for the team title, while Middlebury (124), Williams (137), and Bates (211) rounded out the top-5 in the field of 55 teams. 

For Endicott, Zach Marshall (Hinesburg, Vt.) posted a 109th place finish with a time of 27:16.8 on the 8-kilometer course. Will Connelly (Barrington, R.I.) followed in 130th overall (27:40.1), while Patrick Finocchiaro (Salem, N.H.) was 159th (28:28.4), and Brian King (Stow, Mass.) came in 196th place (29:11.3). 

Meanwhile, Adam Germaine (Guilford, Conn.), Nicholas Canniff (Arlington, Mass.), and Marcus Poccia (West Greenwich, R.I.) concluded Endicott's top-7 in 198th (29:14.2), 199th (29:15.5), and 205th (29:20.0, respectively.

  • Endicott tied its overall team finish from last year's NCAA DIII Regionals.
  • The Gulls best finish – on record – is 21st overall at the 2015 NCAA DIII Regionals.
