BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team begins its 2016 season this Saturday at the Roger Williams Invitational. Here's a preview of the upcoming season for the Gulls.

RETURNING CAST (ROSTER): Endicott returns three out of its top-five runners from last season in juniors Zach Marshall (Hinesburg, Vt.) and James Dwyer (Berlin, Conn.) and sophomore Patrick Finocchiaro (Salem, N.H.) who led the Gulls to a program-best 21st place finish at NCAA Regionals. In addition to Marshall, Dwyer, and Finocchiaro, Endicott returns a bevy of student-athletes from last fall that will provide depth within the top-7 of the lineup alongside the strong group of freshmen who have already found their stride in preseason camp.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR (SCHEDULE): After the Roger Williams meet, Endicott will compete in back-to-back meets in Maine (UNE Invitational, Bowdoin Invitational) before returning close to home at the James Early Invitational in Westfield, Mass. on Saturday, October 8. The Gulls will then travel to Western New England University (WNEU) twice over a three-week span as Endicott will compete in the WNEU Invite on October 15 and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships on October 29. NCAA Regionals and NCAA Division III Nationals will take place on November 12 and November 19, respectively.

2015 IN REVIEW: Endicott placed fourth out of ninth at the CCC Championships before registering a program-best 21st place finish at NCAA Regionals. Over the last two years at NCAA Regionals, the men's squad has registered an 18-spot improvement in the final team standings from 2014 to 2015, which ranks highest among all 50-plus competing teams from last season.
