Bryn Lipton '20 M'21 enters his fourth year as an assistant coach with the men's volleyball program in 2024-25.
During his storied career with the program (2017-21), the Gulls went 92-29 overall (.760), 46-1 in conference play (.979), captured three New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championships (2017, 2019, 2021), and made three NCAA Tournament appearances including tying a program-best run to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2019.
Individually, Lipton appeared in 108 matches (339 sets) and recorded 1,091 kills (3.22 k/s), a .282 hitting percentage, 166 service aces (0.49 sa/s), 591 digs (1.74 d/s), and 158 blocks (36 solo, 122 assisted, 0.47 b/s).
Lipton wrapped up his career ranked third all-time in kills, second in service aces, first in reception percentage (.972), third in points (1354.0), and third in points per set (3.99, min: 300).
Lipton's individual awards included: three American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America honors (2018-20), three NECC Player of the Year awards (2018, 2020-21), five All-Conference first team honors (2017-21), Rookie of the Year accolades (2017), one AVCA All-Region award, and one NECC Academic All-Conference honor.
Additionally, Lipton is the only student-athlete in NECC men's volleyball history to garner three Player of the Year awards (2018, 2020, 2021) and five All-Conference First Team honors since sponsorship of the sport began in 2009.
Lipton obtained his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2020 and his MBA in 2021.
