No. 9 Men’s Volleyball Falls To No. 7 St. John Fisher, 3-1; Lipton Reaches 1,000 Kill Milestone

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball team lost to No. 7 St. John Fisher, 3-1, by scores of 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, and 14-25 on Saturday evening at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts as the senior became the fifth student-athlete in program history to reach the 1,000 career kill plateau. Lipton, who notched 14 kills on 28 swings today (.429), now has 1,001 kills in 99 matches played in his career.

Meanwhile, Donovan Dey (Fairport, N.Y.), Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.), and Gabe Felicetti (Charlestown, R.I.) all chipped in with seven kills apiece in the loss.

Chad Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.) also ran the offense via 36 assists (.493).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • St. John Fisher tied up the all-time series with Endicott at 1-1 with today's victory.
  • The Cardinals are 4-3 on the road this season.
  • Endicott lost its first match at home this year (7-1).
  • Today's match only featured 10 ties and three lead changes.
