No. 8 Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Northern Vermont-Johnson, 3-0

JOHNSON, Vt. — The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Northern Vermont-Johnson, 3-0, by scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-1 on Wednesday night in conference action at Carter Gymnasium.

Reigning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week honoree Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) paced the Gulls with five kills.

Will Perry (San Mateo, Calif.), Ian Smith (Elk Grove, Calif.), and Finn McCaffrey (Redding, Conn.) all notched four kills apiece, while Matt Cruz (Easton, Conn.) compiled three kills and three blocks to highlight the rest of the attack. 

Meanwhile, Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) ran the offense behind 16 assists on 20 attempts (.800).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott hit .400 or better in every set, which included a season-high .800 hitting percentage in set two.
  • The Gulls are 4-1 on the road this season.
  • Endicott has won 10 matches in a row dating back to January 29, 2020.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (12-2, 3-0 NECC) hosts MSOE on Friday, March 6 at 6 PM. Northern Vermont-Johnson (4-8, 0-1 NECC) welcomes Dean to its campus this Saturday for a doubleheader with match one scheduled for 12 PM.
