No. 13 Men’s Volleyball Defeats Lesley, 3-0

MEDFORD, Mass. – The No. 13 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball team defeated conference foe Lesley University, 3-0, by scores of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-6 on Saturday afternoon at Medford High School.

Matt Cruz (Easton, Conn.) guided the Gulls offensively via seven kills on eight swings (.875).

Finn McCaffrey (Redding, Conn.) also added five kills, while Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) and Will Perry (San Mateo, Calif.) both notched four kills, respectively.

Meanwhile, Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) ran the majority of the offense behind a game-high 21 assists alongside a game-high/career-high five service aces.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 26-0 all-time against Lesley.
  • Twenty-five of those wins have come by 3-0 scores.
  • The Gulls extended their winning streak to eight straight matches today.
  • Endicott is now 3-1 on the road this season.
  • DeBenedetto has compiled 20 or more assists in two matches so far in his freshman campaign.
  • McCaffrey logged a career-high six digs.
  • Five of McCaffrey's seven receptions also led to kills (team-high).

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 13 Endicott (10-2, 2-0 NECC) hosts No. 4 Stevens tomorrow at 12 PM. Lesley (0-4, 0-2 NECC) travels to Colby-Sawyer on Friday, February 28 for a pair of matches at 6 and 8 PM, respectively.
