No. 4 Endicott Tabbed First In NECC Men's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll

BEVERLY, Mass. — The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) office announced its preseason coaches' poll on Thursday and the No. 4 nationally-ranked Endicott men's volleyball team earned the top spot. 

The defending conference champions received 35 points, while Elms (32), Nichols (25), Eastern Nazarene (22), Dean (14), NECC newcomer Northern Vermont-Johnson (13), and Lesley (6) rounded out the poll in respective order. 

Last season, Endicott won its sixth NECC title in seven years with a 3-1 win over Elms on April 13, 2019, in Chicopee, Mass. 

Meanwhile, Endicott's place on top of this year's NECC coaches' Poll marks the ninth straight year that the Gulls have been tabbed as preseason favorites in the conference. Endicott is coming off a 2019 season which featured a 26-7 record, a 13-1 mark in conference and a No. 5 AVCA National Ranking.

WHAT'S NEXT 

No. 4 nationally-ranked Endicott will open up its 2020 season against No. 8 nationally-ranked UC Santa Cruz and Keuka in the Johnson & Wales University (JWU) Tournament on Friday, January 24 at 4 and 6 PM, respectively.
