NECC SEMIFINALS: No. 2 Endicott Handles No. 3 Nichols, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott men's volleyball team defeated third-seeded Nichols, 3-0, by scores of 25-13, 25-20, and 25-9 in the semifinal round of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament on Thursday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Donovan Dey (Fairport, N.Y.) and Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) paced the No. 12 nationally ranked Gulls with 11 kills apiece.

Jeremy Doski (Sandy Hook, Conn.) also contributed four kills, 23 assists, three service aces, four digs, and a block assist, while Erich Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.) had eight kills on 14 swings (.500).

Defensively, Ryan Healy (Fair Lawn, N.J.) posted a match-high nine digs and Dey registered seven digs alongside three block assists. The Gulls also saw Gabe Felicetti (Charlestown, R.I.) compile four block assists and five kills, while Seth Braquet (Destrehan, La.) notched five digs and four kills.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improved to 3-0 against Nichols in the all-time series.
  • All three matches have been decided by a 3-0 score.
  • The Gulls are now 9-1 at home this season and have won three matches in a row.

WHAT'S NEXT

Second-seeded Endicott (24-6) will play first-seeded Elms in the NECC Championship on Saturday, April 13 at 2 PM. Nichols' first season in program history comes to a close at 17-10 overall.
