NECC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team saw a program record seven student-athletes earn New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference honors on Monday, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Endicott's seven representatives on the list were juniors Matt Bozek (Exeter, N.H.), Seth Braquet (Destrehan, La.), Adam Dake (Victor, N.Y.), Ryan Healy (Fair Lawn, N.J.), Jacob Newman (Chester, N.H.), Devin Racey (Voorheesville, N.Y.), and sophomore Chad Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.)

"Our young men have continued to take pride in their academic performance, while still competing at the highest of levels," said Endicott men's volleyball head coach George Chapell '08. "We demand a lot from our guys, and for them to possess a 3.30 cumulative GPA as a team speaks volumes to their dedication levels. It especially makes me proud to see seven Academic All-Conference honorees on this year's list, which is a new program record."

In order to be eligible for NECC Academic All-Conference honors, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00, and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings.

NOTES

  • The Gulls previous program record for the most Academic All-Conference honorees was five set back in 2017.
  • Endicott has been an associate member of the NECC since 2012.

YEAR IN REVIEW

The Gulls also won the 2018 NECC regular season title, and advanced to the league championship match for the seventh straight season. Prior to this year, the Gulls rattled off five straight NECC title wins from 2013-2017.
