NASHUA, N.H. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Daniel Webster, 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-23), in its first of two matches on the final day of competition in the Live Free Or Die Invitational on Sunday before falling to Rivier, 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-22), in the nightcap.
MATCH ONE: Endicott 3, Daniel Webster 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-23)
Endicott utilized a balanced offensive effort, which featured five starters with five or more kills, and a season-high .394 hitting percentage to secure the victory over Daniel Webster.
Sophomore outside Troy Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.) paced the Gulls with a match-high 11 kills (.417 hitting percentage), six digs and two block assists. Daniel Toth (Glenwood, N.J.) added eight kills, while Jeremy Doski (Sandy Hook, Conn.) and Alex Wasik (Milford, Mass.) both chipped in with seven putaways, respectively. John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) rounded out the list of offensive highlights with five kills.
Cameron Little (San Diego, Calif.) and Devin Racey (Voorheesville, N.Y.) combined to run the offense with 29 and 14 assists, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Osborne also tallied a match-high and season-high 14 digs in the win.
- Osborne has now recorded 10 or more digs in back-to-back matches.
- The Gulls had 10 student-athletes notch at least one kill in the match, the most in a single-match this season.
- Endicott is 19-0 in the all-time series against Daniel Webster.
FOR THE FOES
- Freshman middle Saunoa Afoa (Las Vegas, Nev.) had a team-high 10 kills (.226 hitting percentage) to go along with six digs.
- Tommy Reyes (Providence, R.I.) and Ryan Howdeshell (Fairbanks, Alaska) both collected eight kills apiece.
- Howdeshell also contributed 10 digs in the loss.
- Nate Makaiwi (Las Vegas, Nev.) facilitated the offense with 28 assists.
MATCH TWO: Rivier 3, Endicott 0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-22)
Rivier hit over .400 in two out of three sets and had a trio of student-athletes put home 10 or more kills to extend its winning streak to four-straight.
Wasik led Endicott with a career-high 17 kills on 29 swings (.448 hitting percentage), while Toth and Riorden contributed seven and six kills, respectively. Little engineered the offense, which hit .268, by dishing out 34 assists.
The Raiders received 14 kills from Grant Andler (Chicago, Ill.), 11 putaways via Mike Hadder (Yucaipa, Calif.) and 10 more kills from Matt Heckler (Simi Valley, Calif.) to highlight their attack. Tyler Blank (Rochester, N.Y.) dished out a match-high 43 assists, and Nick Ochoa (Whittier, Calif.) guided the defensive efforts with a match-high 10 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Prior to today's match, Wasik's previous career-high for kills was 15, which came in Endicott's 3-2 win over No. 14 nationally ranked Wentworth earlier this week.
- Wasik has produced double-digit kills in three matches this season.
- Little has now set up 30 or more kills in five matches this year.

- Rivier is 32-5 in the all-time series versus Endicott.
