BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men’s volleyball seniors Joshua Bruno (Andover, Mass.), Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa.), Jeremy Siden (Natick, Mass.) and Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) were recognized prior to the start of their final home match of the regular season on Tuesday night as the Gulls handed NECC opponent Lesley a 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-16) defeat to improve to 10-0 in conference play.

Endicott’s senior class has experienced great success in their careers with nearly 90 wins (86-48 overall, 50-5 conference) and two conference titles under their belts.  The Gulls look to wrap up their careers with a third championship as the Blue and Green remain unbeaten in NECC matches this season.

Each senior had their hand in the Endicott win starting with Siden who led all players with eight kills on 13 attempts with zero errors.  Siden, the Gulls kill leader this season, also had five digs and a service ace.

Schlosser gave a solid overall effort with six kills and 22 assists while both Slocum and Bruno struck five kills apiece in the win.  Slocum, along with sophomore teammate Aaron Jessee (Okinawa, Japan), matched Lesley’s Melvin Morales (Chelsea, Mass.) with a match-high six digs.

Morales also chipped in with eight set assists as most of Lesley’s attack was conducted by junior middle Max Hoevenaar (Orlando, Fla.) who had seven kills.  Hoevanaar also had three blocks in the match, including a solo stop.

In third set action, sophomores Mike Coniglione (Glenville, N.Y.), Lance Pepper (Torrington, Conn.) and Brandon Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.) all were a factor on both sides of the ball.  Pepper and Chadwick combined for block assists on two separate plays while Coniglione blocked a shot on his own.  Offensively, Coniglione had four kills with Pepper and Chadwick tallying three and two kills, respectively.

The Gulls will be on the road for their final two regular season matches, first as they take on Daniel Webster on Saturday, March 31st at 1:00 pm league action.  Lesley hosts NECC foe Southern Vermont on the same day at 3:30 pm.
