Stoeckinger collects his third NECC Rookie of the Week award
BEVERLY, Mass.  - Freshman middle Thomas Stoeckinger (Malibu, Calif.) became a three-time NECC Rookie of the Week honoree following a four-match span in which he averaged 2.50 kills per set wtih a .438 hitting percentage, five aces, eight digs and nine blocks.  The Gulls went 3-2 in the last five matches including four at the Endicott Invitational, the largest NCAA DIII men's volleyball tournament in the country.  

Stoeckinger kicked off the week with five kills against NECC rival Elms on the road with two aces and two assisted blocks.  

In the first match at the EC Invitational, Stoeckinger struck four kills with two blocks against league foe Southern Vermont before breaking out with 11 kills against Stevenson in Saturday's second match.  In the final match of the tournament versus \#11 Vassar, Stoeckinger posted a career-high with 15 kills on 26 attempts with just two errors while serving two aces, getting four digs, and block three attacks.  

For the week, he had 35 kills with just seven errors.  

The Gulls begin a three-match stretch against NECC opponents to end the regular season starting with Lesley University at home, tonight at 7:00 pm.  It is the team's final home match and they will honor seniors Jeremy Siden (Natick, Mass.), Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hill, N.Y.), Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa.) and Joshua Bruno (Andover, Mass.).
