BEVERLY, Mass. – The Gulls will be competing against SUNYIT and \#11 Vassar on day two of the Endicott Invitational. Vassar marks the seventh match this season for the Blue and Green against a nationally ranked opponent.
Match One vs SUNYIT

Endicott swept SUNYIT 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-15) behind 12 kills and five blocks from sophomore Brennan Lowe (Malibu, Calif.) and another seven assisted blocks from sophomore middle Brandon Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.). The Gulls had 12.5 team blocks with Chadwick, Lowe, as well as sophomores Mike Coniglione (Glenville, N.Y.) and Kevin Duggan (Glastonbury, Conn.) adding four and three blocks, respectively.
Sophomore Lance Pepper (Torrington, Conn.) came in second-best on the team with seven kills with junior Matt Devendorf (Glastonbury, Conn.) adding five more. Coniglione and Duggan each contributed with four kills.
Defensively, the Gulls were able to counter the Wildcats offense with a team-high four digs from freshman libero Kristian Catalan (Sudbury, Mass.) and three apiece from freshman Stewart Allendorph (Delmar, N.Y.), senior Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Devendorf and Lowe.
Setters Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa.) and Carter Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) combined for 28 assists, leading the Blue and Green to a .379 hitting percentage on the day.
Match Two vs \#11 Vassar, 4PM

In the final match of the Endicott Invitational for the Gulls, \#11 Vassar handed the host institution a 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22) defeat. The Blue and Green enter the final stretch of their NECC schedule with a 12-13 overall record including nine undefeated wins in conference. Endicott hosts Lesley on Tuesday, March 27th at 7:00 pm in MacDonald Gymnasium.
Freshman middle Thomas Stoeckinger (Malibu, Calif.) had a career-high 15 kills on 26 swings with just two errors (.500) but it was not enough for the Gulls to pull an upset. Lowe added nine more kills to his total while Devendorf and Siden both had six kills in the loss.
Schlosser had a big game with 28 assists and nine digs while fellow setter, Roche, added 13 more to his tournament total.
Slocum had an impressive performance countering Vassar's attack with 13 digs. For his efforts he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Devendorf, Stoeckinger and senior Joshua Bruno (Andover, Mass.) were all a presence at the net with four, three and three block assists, respectively.
