BEVERLY, MA - Day one of Endicott's March Mania Tournament began Saturday with 12 teams competing in a round robin format.

Endicott led the opening matches of the day, deafeating Hunter, 3-1 (30-22, 30-20, 30-25) behind Matt Keepin's (Harwinton, CT) 10 kills. Dan Coleman (Millis, MA) played well on defense, picking up 17 kills while Jeremy Hamel (Industry, ME) dished out 34 assists.

Hunter was paced by Lukas Lyszak (Tychy, Poland) and Alex Trost (Brooklyn, NY), who had 14 kills and 10 kills, respectively. Jozef Dubroja (Glendale, NY) handed out 35 assists and picked up 15 digs in the losing effort.

In other action, Rivier beat Wentworth, 3-0 (30-18, 30-25, 30-27), SUNY New Paltz dropped Villa Julie, 3-1 (30-18, 30-23, 26-30, 30-20), and Nazareth defeated MSOE, 3-0 (30-15, 30-25, 30-26).

Kurt Monaco (Schenectady, NY) and Evan Machos (Agawam, MA) led Rivier with 11 and 10 kills, respectively while Kevin Harrington (North Kingston, RI) recorded 44 assists. Wentworth's Justin Kalinkewicz (Scotia, NY) recorded seven kills and nine digs.

Jason Chandler (Spencerport, NY) sparked SUNY New Paltz, recording 13 kills. Jeff Lee (Clifton Park, NY) added 11 kills while Matt Weingarten (East Morchies, NY) picked up 43 assists and Pedro Medina (Brentwood, NY) dug up 15 balls.

Alex Ness (Pylesville, MD) led Villa Julie with 10 kills and nine digs and Mike Simon (Forest Hill, MD) was the team-leader in kills (14) while adding nine digs as well.

Kellen Gambeski (St. James, NY) paced Nazareth to victory, recording 11 kills. Alex Cloutier (Racine, WI) picked up six kills, Chris DeHority (Rochester, NY) dug up 11 balls and Geoff O'Connor (Pittsford, NY) picked up 23 helpers.

MSOE got eight kills from Mike Mocchi (Wheeling, IL) and seven digs from Dan Goray (Addison, IL). Kevin House (Plainfield, IL) added five kills and 17 assists.
