BEVERLY, MA - Rivier College, ranked No. 8 in the latest AVCA Division III National Poll, outlasted Endicott College, 3-1, Tuesday night in Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association action.

All-American Andrew Chace (East Providence, RI) had a match-high 20 kills, paving the way for the Raiders, who improved to 16-3 overall and lead the NECVA Northeast Conference at 6-0. Nhut Chau (Lawrence, MA) dished out a match-best 61 kills as Rivier won 30-21, 30-22, 27-30 and 30-22.

The Gulls fell to 9-10 overall but remained in fifth place in the NECVA Northeast standings with a record of 5-4.

Senior Mike Coflesky (Royalston, MA/Athol) and freshman Clay Ostrander (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville) were the only Endicott players with double digit kill numbers, doling out 19 and 11, respectively. Ostrander finished with 21.5 points while Coflesky, who had 12.5 points, chipped in 11 digs.

Freshman Dan Coleman (Millis, MA/Millis) recorded a team-high 26 digs for Endicott. Sophomore setter Jeremy Hamel (Industry, ME/Mount Blue) handed out 37 assists for the hosts, who also received a team-best five blocks from junior George Chapell (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) and three blocks apiece from Matt Keepin (Harwinton, CT/Lewis S. Mills), freshman Joe Douglass (Beverly, MA/St. John's Prep) and Hamel.

Endicott will host the Endicott March Madness Invitational all day Saturday and Sunday with 12 teams from New England as well as New York, New Jersey and Maryland competing.
