BROOKLINE, MA - Endicott Freshman Dan Coleman (Millis, MA/Millis) eclipsed his dig record for a third time this season, but it wasn't enough as the Gull's lost to Newbury 3-1.
Endicott took the first game but Newbury reeled off the next three to win the match, (30-26), (27-30), (27-30), (25-30).
Endicott dropped to 9-7 overall 5-3 NECVA while Ken Mcneeley and Leroy Cooper led Newbury to a 9-7 overall record and 4-2 in NECVA play. Mcneeley and Cooper had 16 and 14 kills, respectively.
Clay Ostrander (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville) led the Gulls with 20 kills, while senior Mike Coflesky (Royalston, MA/Athol) added 19 kills. Senior setter Eric Hunter (Delmar-Bethleham, NY/Bethleham) had 50 assists for the Gulls.
