Elms Defeats Endicott in Four Games

CHICOPEE, MA - Despite freshman Dan Coleman's (Millis, MA/Millis) record-setting 28 digs, Endicott College was on the losing end of a 3-1 decision to Elms College Saturday in NECVA action.

The loss puts the Gulls at 8-6 overall (5-2 NECVA) while the Blazers improved to 4-5 overall.

Coleman eclipsed his own record of 25 digs, which was set just nine days ago. Freshman outside hitter Clay Ostrander (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville Regional) comntributed 16 kills, 15 digs and three blocks in the loss while senior setter Eric Hunter (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) handed out 46 assists to go along with 14 digs.

The visitors also got 17 kills and 15 digs from senior co-captain Mike Coflesky (Royalston, MA/Athol). George Chapell (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) and Matt Keepin (Harwinton, CT/Lewis S. Mills) picked four and three blocks, respectively.

Endicott is back in action Tuesday night at Newbury College (7:00 PM).
