Beverly, MA - Facing NECVA New England rival Wentworth, the Gulls were forced to come from a 1-2 deficit to defeat the Leopards 3-2. This was the forth consecutive five-game match for WIT and the Gulls second in three matches. After opening the night hitting .032 and dropping game one, the Gulls hit over .300 in the following 4 games with the scores being 24-30, 30-21, 34-36, 30-21 and 15-10. The Gulls now improve to 8-4 overall and 6-2 in NECVA play, while the Leopards drop to 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the NECVA.

The Gulls had four players contribute double digit kill performances led by Jeremy Fontaine's 20, Eddie Marchand's 17 and Mike Coflesky and Eric Hunter's 10 each. Russ Friedland dished out 55 assists and combined with Fontaine for back-to-back blocks to close out the match. Hunter picked up a team high 13 digs while Brandon Ecker anchored the serve receive with 47 error free attempts.

Wentworth received solid performances from outside hitters Phil Li (21 kills, 15 digs) and Dominik Szpyrk who contributed a team high 25 kills. David Phin handed out 57 assists in the match and Bobby Jones hit a team high .421.

The Gulls will return to action on Thursday at 7:00 PM, when they will travel to Harvard University for the first meeting between these two programs. Also on Thursday, WIT will host crosstown rival and No. 9 MIT in a 7:00 PM match.
