Endicott rallies to defeat Philadelphia Biblical 3-2

Despite starting down two games, Endicott won in five over Philadelphia Biblical University 27-30, 25-30, 30-21, 30-22, 15-11. Endicott's Jeremy Fontaine (sophomore, Belchertown, MA) led the team with intensity on both offense and defense. Jeremy Fontaine tallied 25 kills, 18 digs and seven blocks in Endicott's victory in the first round of the NECVA conference championship. This was Endicott's first ever victory in the championship tournament.

Junior Pablo Baez (San Juan, PR) ran the show for the Gulls with 67 assists in 142 attempts. Pablo Baez added two kills, one block and nine digs to his setting efforts. Other upperclassmen making impacts for Endicott were sophomore Dan Green (Tempe, AZ) and junior Brandon Ecker (New Orleans, LA). Dan Green had 12 kills, two blocks and 14 digs while Brandon Ecker had 14 kills, seven digs and four aces. Brandon Ecker set the pace in the third and fourth games when he went scoring runs of six and four points respectively.

Philadelphia Biblical was led offensively by their outside hitters Jade Brubaker (Telford, PA) and Dan Schmoyer (Doylestown, PA) who combined for 43 kills. Setter Brandon Vining (Boyertown, PA) had 63 assists in the loss.
