April 3, 2004

Stats

Endicott was downed by Rivier College in the semi-final match of the NECVA tournament 3-1 (26-30, 30-23, 19-30, 24-30). Despite a full team effort and a big win in game two, the Gulls could not finish off the Raiders to push the match to five games.

The Gulls were led by Co-captains Pablo Baez and Jeremy Fontaine. Baez spread out 36 assists, and Fontaine tallied 22 kills around the big Rivier blockers. Freshman Eddie Marchand chipped in nine kills, while Eric Hunter, Mike Coflesky, and Baez added six each.

On the defensive side, three players had double-digit digs for Endicott. Libero Craig Steszewski had 14, Fontaine had 13 and Hunter contributed twelve. Russ Friedland continued to be a force at the net, with five blocks.

Endicott will now await word on an ECAC Tournament bid.
