Gulls Upset #4 Seed Hunter College - Earn Trip to Semi-final Match

For the first time in the school's history, the Endicott Gulls will make an appearance in the NECVA semi-final match at 4:00 on Saturday, April 3 against \#1 seed Rivier College. This will be the third time this season that these two teams meet. With a quarterfinal win over Hunter College 3-0, Endicott breaks the school record for wins in a season (20). The Gulls were sparked by the fire that freshman Eddie Marchand brought to game one.

Endicott defeated Hunter 30-24, 30-28, 30-23 and head confidently to the semi-finals. Marchand fired up the team in game one with timely kills and a solo block, totaling 12 kills and three blocks for the match. Co-captain Jeremy Fontaine was the point leader for the team with 19 kills, two aces, and two blocks.

Russ Friedland and Craig Steszewski continue to be the backbone of the Gull defense, Friedland with four blocks, and Steszewski with ten digs. Fontaine was just behind Steszewski with nine and Eric Hunter contributed seven.
