Endicott defeated conference opponent Wentworth Institute of Technology in a quick five-game match 28-30, 30-17, 30-23, 24-30, 15-7. In what was a slow start for the Gulls, captain Pablo Baez turned things around in the second game with strong serving that led to a 19-4 scoring run. Endicott came on strong again at clutch time in the fifth game to hit .462% as a team (7k-1e/13att).

Junior Jeremy Fontaine continues to lead the Gulls offense, collecting 23 points from 22 kills, 17 digs and two blocks. Sophomore Mike Coflesky has stepped up his scoring to generate 18 kills in 37 attempts for Endicott. Baez picked up 10 of the Wentworth's attempts to score, while Eric Hunter and Craig Steszewski also provided solid defense for the Gulls with nine digs apiece.

Junior Phil Li led Wentworth's efforts on defense as he tallied 12 digs and three blocks. On the offensive side, Dominik Szpyrka and Bobby Jones led the offensive with a combined 27 kills.

Endicott returns to play on Saturday with a noon match-up against Newbury College (at Hellenic College).
