Endicott's seven-match win streak ended in a 1-3 loss to \#6 Rivier College 20-30, 30-23, 31-33, 27-30. Despite outstanding play by outside hitters Eric Hunter and Mike Coflesky, the Gulls were not able to pull ahead at the crucial moments of the match.

Endicott started out slow in game one but overcame poor serve receive and defense to turn the tables in game two. Game three went back and forth from 27-27 until Rivier was able to pull ahead and win 33-31.

Coflesky led Endicott in hitting percentage with .455%, tallying 13 kills in 22 attempts. Fontaine continued to be the point leader for the Gulls with 25.5 from 23 kills, one ace, and three assist blocks. Libero Craig Steszewski worked to thwart the Rivier attack with 12 digs behind the blocking walls of Russ Friedland and Eddie Marchand with four apiece.

Setter Nhut Chau paced Rivier to their victory, tallying 65 assists and seven digs, while opposite hitter Kin Yun led them on offense with 21 kills. Outside hitter Zachary Stedman with 16 kills and two aces and Andrew Chace with 12 kills also had notable performances.

Endicott continues with conference play as they host Wentworth Institute of Technology on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 PM and then travel to Newbury College on Saturday the 21st for a 12:00 match.
